Dr. Roohi Desai is a board certified and trained family physician. She has been in the St. Louis area since 1993 from the start of her residency training at Forest Park Hospital to her current position as Adjunct Associate Professor at St. Louis University. After two years in private practice, she joined the faculty at the Forest Park Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. Her chief responsibilities included teaching Resident physicians, and managing the program’s geriatric practice. She has also recently been involved in clinical research in developing new vaccines at St. Louis University.
Dr. Desai is joining our practice with a desire to reconnect with patients and primary care, her first love. She is strongly focused on the preventive aspects of health maintenance and anti-aging medicine. In addition, she is interested in sports medicine and maintaining cardiovascular health. She is also planning to offer cosmetic skin procedures like chemical peels, Botox injections and laser aesthetics. Roohi is married to Dr. Sunny Desai, an internist practicing at Southwest Medical Center. They have two children, Sohil and Ariana. |
